Terms of Service

MyCrashPad is a marketplace where verified airline personnel rent crashpads and stays to each other. By creating an account you agree to these terms.

1. Who can use MyCrashPad

MyCrashPad is only for airline personnel — pilots, flight attendants, and other airline employees — aged 18 or over. To book or host you must upload a valid airline ID and a government-issued photo ID, and our team must approve them. We may refuse or remove any account we cannot verify.

2. Our role

MyCrashPad provides the platform. Hosts own or control the properties they list and are responsible for them; guests are responsible for how they use them. We are not a party to the stay itself, we do not own the properties, and we do not act as a real estate agent, landlord or insurer.

3. Listings and hosting

  • Hosts must have the legal right to rent the space, including any landlord, condo board, lease, insurance or local rules that apply.
  • Listing details — photos, price, bed type, occupants, gender policy, house rules, airport distance — must be accurate and kept up to date.
  • Every listing is reviewed by our team before it appears publicly, and edits may be reviewed again.
  • Hosts keep their calendar accurate. Confirmed dates are blocked automatically once a guest pays.

4. Bookings and payments

Booking is instant: the guest chooses dates and pays the full amount at checkout. The total shown before payment is the total charged — the nightly rate, a 7% MyCrashPad service fee, and 13% Ontario HST. Prices are in USD.

Payment goes to MyCrashPad. Hosts are paid out by MyCrashPad on a biweekly schedule after the guest's stay has finished, and hosts receive the full nightly amount they set — the service fee and tax are paid by the guest, not deducted from the host.

5. Cancellations and refunds

Each listing shows a Flexible, Moderate or Strict cancellation policy before you pay. The full rules, including host cancellations, no-shows and disputes, are in our Cancellation & Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.

6. House rules and conduct

  • Follow the host's house rules, quiet hours and occupancy limits.
  • Do not sublet, re-list, or bring guests who are not on the booking.
  • No harassment, discrimination, threats, illegal activity or damage.
  • Do not share another member's address, documents or contact details.

7. Damage and claims

Guests pay for the stay in full at booking; we do not hold security deposits. Guests are responsible for damage they or their party cause beyond normal wear. Report damage with photos within 48 hours of check-out and we will review both sides and decide a fair outcome, which may include charging the guest, banning the account, or declining the claim.

8. Reviews

Reviews can only be left after a paid, completed stay. Reviews must be honest and first-hand. We may remove reviews that are false, abusive, off-topic or used to pressure the other side.

9. Suspension and termination

We may warn, suspend, ban or remove listings and accounts that break these terms, fail verification, or put other members at risk. You can close your account at any time; bookings already confirmed still follow the cancellation policy.

10. Liability

MyCrashPad is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any booking is limited to the amount that booking was charged. Nothing here removes rights you have under applicable consumer law.

11. Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. We may update them; material changes will be posted here with a new date, and continuing to use MyCrashPad means you accept the update.
